High Efficiency Inverter

Recently electric power consumption has been increased rapidly with improving the standard of living. It was just 2,899kWh per a person in 1993; it¡¯s become 6,126kWh in 2003. It can say it has increased more than twice in 10 years and getting more and more increased every year. In Korea, the majority of the whole electric facilities is related with induction motors. For these facilities related with induction motors, INVERTER can create the indirect effect for energy reduction.

It is possible to cause the energy saving by inverter with square-reduced torque load (such as pump, fan, blower, etc). Generally, changing-load method, by controlling mechanical valves and dampers, can¡¯t be expected for energy saving. Even if valves and dampers are closed to decrease flow, the loss is increased, so that motor¡¯s required power can¡¯t be decreased enough. In case of motor¡¯s adjustment by the number of revolution, the required power will be decreased proportionately to the cubed number of revolution, it can make big energy saving. These effects happen through using inverter. In case of using inverter, you can expect the energy saving effect and also several other effects; first of all, it makes much longer lifetime of motors and electric controllers. And it makes operation in retardation and acceleration easier and variable speed operation possible.
